The network comparative discourse studies connects researchers and teachers who work in the field of discourse analysis and are interested in comparative approaches. In keeping with the broad remit of discourse studies overall, we are interested in the interlingual or intralingual comparison of discourses with a view to using language-related discourse analyses to explore broader social, cultural, and epistemological issues across different societies.
The network comparative discourse studies was launched at a workshop in Warsaw in September 2022. The workshop initiated discussion of methodologies for strengthening the quality of Comparative Discourse Studies, as well as reflection on teaching in the field of (Comparative) Discourse Studies.
If you are concerned with with discursive comparison in your research and are interested in participating, we would be pleased if you would become a member of the network! Please write us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
